Audrey Tautou
Audrey Tautou is the youngest of four children born on August 9, 1976, at Beaumont Puy of Domme. Audrey's parents who was both dentists and teacher, were aware of and encouraged their daughter's love for drama and theater at a young stage. The support they provided was more than enough to thwart her initial goal of becoming a an animal scientist. Her fame grew as an actress in her early years and achieved huge achievement. In 1998 after her studies, she participated in an French program for scouting talent on TV called Jeunes Premiers sponsored by Canal+ and won Best Young Actress at the Beziers Festival of Young Actors prior to launching acting professionally. Tautou was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris in Paris as a child and enrolled in the school at young age she has since renounced her Catholic childhood. Now, she declares herself to be non-Catholic. Apart from her acting profession, she has also pursued modeling. She modelled of L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". Also, she has an intense passion for photography. She recently exhibited her work for the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. Her photos are mostly about the spotlight and fame. Also, they include an assortment of portraits of herself and also. Audrey Tautou became a star and was recognized internationally for her debut role as Amelie Poulain in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie. Amelie achieved international success in the field of box office, and was awarded awards across the globe. It is the most successful French language film in the US. Following this massive success, Tautou starred in a variety of films, which included British dramas such as Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's Un long dimanche de fiancailles. Tautou also appeared alongside Tom Hanks in Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code directed by Dan Brown.
